With
Super as the dam and Bruno as the sire, we knew the "superior" offspring would exemplify the Bruno Mars song lyrics,
"amazing, just the way you are," and believe "Just Won Look" describes J'Lo's winning look.
J'Lo participated in a 4-6 month puppy competition and won the Terrier Puppy Group under Judge Pamela Lambie
in Belton, Texas, on October 19, 2018. J'Lo's regular class debut was during the Lone Star State Classic in Dallas in December
2018, where Paula showed her in the large Bred-by class among mature competition, and she placed 4th (twice!). J'Lo was Reserve
Winners Bitch (major) after winning the Bred-by class the one day she showed (February 23, 2019) during the Gulf Coast Cluster
at the San Jacinto KC show under Judge John P. Wade. Just one look was all it took at the Baytown Kennel Club shows in Crosby
the weekend of March 2-3, 2019. Paula showed J'Lo both days in the 6-9 puppy class and Judge Lee Herr awarded her Winners
Bitch and Best Opposite the first day for a 3-point major; Judge James Ham awarded J'Lo Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and
Best of Breed over the special for a 4-point major! J'Lo got her next points (5-point major) with Winners Bitch and Best of
Winners at the Trinity Valley West Highland White Terrier Club Specialty held on the 4th of July 2019 in conjunction with
the North Texas Terrier Club show in Dallas and handled to the win by Alfonso Escobedo under Judge Robert E. Hutton, leaving
her three points shy of her Champion title. J'Lo finished her Champion Title handled by Ashlie Whitmore to Winners Bitch for
a five-point major under Judge Bergit Coady-Kabel at the Houston All-Terrier Club show in July 2019. She followed that win
with Select Bitch and Best Opposite wins the remainder of the Houston World Series of Dog Shows cluster. Following Houston, J'Lo joined the A-Team for the Greeley Kennel Club shows in
Colorado the weekend of August 17-18, 2019, where she picked up Best Opposite and Select wins. She then had a "Girls"
weekend with Ashlie Whitmore in Elk City, Oklahoma, September 5-8, 2019, where J'Lo won Best of Breed every day and took top
honors in the Terrier Group two of the days and Terrier Group Second the other two days, with our appreciation to Judges Rosalind
Kramer, Richard V. Miller, Darryl Vice, and Debra L. Thornton. J'Lo also acquired all of the points needed for her Grand Champion title on Sepember 6, 2019, at
fifteen months of age. J'Lo spent her last weekend in the show ring at the "Montgomery" weekend in Pennsylvania,
October 3-6, 2019, where she took Best Opposite honors under Judge Cindy Meyer at the Devon Kennel Club show on October 5,
2019, and made the final cut at the huge West Highland White Terrier Club National Specialty in conjunction with the all-Terrier
Montgomery County Kennel Club show on October 6, 2019, under Judge Kathleen Ferris. Although her time in the show ring as
a "special" was very short, J'Lo's winning looks got her the #16 spot in all-breed standings and the #26 spot in
breed standings for 2019 (for stats through November 30, 2019). In August 2020, J'Lo moved to her new home in Dallas
where she is loved and adored every day.
