Marcus was born on December 29, 2002, and entered the ring for the
first time during the 2003 WHWTCA Roving Specialty weekend in July (see photograph below), where he secured first place in
the WHWTCSET 6 - 9 month puppy Sweepstakes class under renowned Breeder/Judge Jaimi Glodek. Marcus made quite an impression
with that first show performance and, as a result, moved to Ohio with his new owner, Judith A. White (Jubilhill Westies).
With Judy at the lead, Marcus won Best in Sweepstakes at the 2003 WHWTC of Southeastern Michigan show from the 6
- 9 month puppy class. In late 2004,
following concentration in large Specialty shows (with first and reserve placement wins), Marcus returned to Texas to
make his mark in the Texas show ring, which he quickly did by earning several points toward his championship title as well
as four Best of Breed wins. Marcus and Paula finished the year with an award of Group First in the Terrier Bred-by Exhibitor
Group on December 5, 2004 (see photo below), and Marcus completed his championship in early 2005 by going Best Opposite Sex
with a five-point major (defeating several specials dogs) at the Fort Worth KC show, and gaining his second major with a Best
of Breed win at the Baytown KC show. After earning his CH title, Marcus was shown on a limited basis in the special's ring with
handler Christopher Keith. Marcus quickly became a Terrier Group winner and ended 2005 as a Top Twenty Westie
All Systems (per Canine Chronicle Online stats, for events through December 31, 2005). Marcus
retained his top status throughout 2006 and, as a result of his accomplishments in the show ring, received back-to-back invitations
to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship invitational shows scheduled for January 2006 and December 2006 (see photos
below from the December 2006 show). Marcus finished 2006 as #14 Westie All Systems, and had his final
run in the ring at the Westminster Kennel Club show on February 12, 2007. Thanks to Marcus' winning show record, we
were honored with the prestigious 2006 Annual Award for Best of Breed Owner-Bred Dog from the West Highland White Terrier
Club of America on October 5, 2007. In May 2010, the American Kennel Club began offering a new AKC title, the Grand Champion title. Marcus had
been kept in coat since his retirement in 2007, so we decided to take him out again to pursue the Grand Champion title.
Marcus returned to the ring in June with handler Klayton Harris and earned half of his Grand Champion points with wins in
Lake Charles, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas, including a large Best of Breed win under Breeder/Judge John "Tom" Ward.
We gave Marcus a three-month break and then Paula took him back out in October 2010, where he immediately captured
another Best of Breed win at the Travis County Kennel Club show in Austin, Texas, under Judge Patti A. Long Smith.
With our appreciation to Judges Robert J. Shreve and William F. Potter II, Marcus earned the final points for his Grand Champion
(GCH) title at the Conroe Kennel Club shows December 4 and 5, 2010, making Marcus the first veteran Westie
to earn the AKC Grand Champion title. Paula showed Marcus one last time in the Veteran Class at the North Texas
Terrier Club show on December 9, 2010, where he was Best Veteran and Best Opposite Sex to Pallas, defeating top male
specials. It was a highly honorable end to Marcus' show ring career and--as much as he loved to do anything
to please Paula--he seemed happy to finally retire (again). GCH CH TullyBloom's Marcus First left us on March 30, 2020. Marcus was the first
born of our first litter, the first to finish from Bred-by, and maintained first place in our hearts. We have no doubt he
is achieving many new firsts at the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you, Marcus. Rest in Peace.

as sole owners. **For annual CERF exam on 09/17/07, Dr. Glaze's handwritten comments
were: "Punctate posterior y suture feathering. Finding of no consequence". At a subsequent annual exam,
