***We are proud to have 5 of the initial 9 OFA CHIC Westies (Nike, Justi, Marcus, Ingenue and GiGi) (Victor was subsequently added once we got his CERF exam done).  In January 2008, Westies were enrolled in CHIC (Canine Health Information Center), which is a centralized canine health database jointly sponsored by the American Kennel Club/Canine Health Foundation (AKC/CHF) and the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).  To be included in the OFA CHIC database, Westies are required to have evaluations for eyes (CERF), hip dysplasia, and patellar luxation, which are three of the health screens we perform on Westies used in our breeding program.***
